New Restaurants Around Town
Great Maple - Located in Hillcrest in what used to house Brian's 24 Hour Eatery, Great Maple has the feel of an upscale diner with a cool modern mid-century vibe. Owned by Johnny Rivera, co-owner of San Diego favorites Hash House a go go and The Tractor Room, Great Maple has a menu that is sure to please just about anyone. The menu features oysters, French dip sandwiches, bratwurst, burgers, salads, homemade pies, and rack of lamb! Great Maple serves their delicious bratwurst on a Sadie Rose Pretzel Bun.

Soda & Swine - Situated on the corner of 30th St. & Adams Ave in University Heights, Soda & Swine has consistently good cheap food and a line out the door to go with it. The focus is on meatballs - pork, beef, chicken, or veggie. Get them as sliders, on a sub, a la carte or with spaghetti. The $3-$5 sides are just as good as the meatballs. No booze in Soda & Swine, but you can squeeze through the back into their sister establishment, Polite Provisions, where you can find any libation your heart desires, draft craft cocktails and all! The pork meatballs were our favorite along with the mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. Soda & Swine uses Sadie Rose's Slider Buns and Sandwich Rolls for their meatballs.

Regal Seagull - With the success of Regal Beagle in Mission Hills under their belt, the owners decided to head up north and open up the same concept in Leucadia in the old Leucadia Sushi Bar building. They offer the same great hand crafted T&H Sausages and lots of great local beer on tap. Regal Beagle & Regal Seagull offer a wide variety of sausages like the Chicken Diablo, Smoked Cajun, and Jalapeno Cheddar. You can also get a sampler plate - that's the way to do it! They serve all of their sausages on a Sadie Rose Hot Dog Bun. Regal Seagull officially opened Thursday. Extra plus: dogs are allowed on the patio.

Best Thing We Ate This Month
Vegan Tempeh Reuben on our Marbled Rye from Nate's Garden Grill in City Heights. I have tried a lot of tempeh in my day and this was by far the best I have ever had (Nate's tempeh is made in house), be sure to add avocado.
Naomi - Marketing Manager, Sadie Rose
Chipotle Turkey Sandwich from Brothers Provisions in Rancho Bernardo. Seriously the best sandwich I had all year. It is served on our Caramelized Onion bread and topped with gouda, house made sweet peppers, and apricot chutney. Hope they keep this one on the menu!
Stefany - Sales, Sadie Rose
The Oceanside at Polite Provisions in University Heights. OK, this is the best thing I drank. It is dry gin, lime juice, mint, celery bitters & sea salt. So refreshing, not at all sweet - the perfect cocktail.
Jennifer - Owner, Sadie Rose
