Arbor Day may be a wash out (see story below), but Allen residents can still take advantage of a special offer to help beautify their homes and community. Trees for Allen is offering 5-7' trees specifically suited to our soil and climate for $50 each. The trees come in a 10-15 gallon container with trunks at least an inch in diameter. Several varieties are available, including Texas Ash, Little Gem Magnolia and Cedar Elm. The trees are guaranteed to leaf out.

Simply download the order form to choose your trees, then send the form and payment to Keep Allen Beautiful (c/o City Hall, 305 Century Parkway Allen, TX 75013). Trees may be picked up at the Municipal Service Center (900 S. Greenville Ave.) on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon. Any remaining trees may be purchased on the day of pickup.
Rain Cancels Weekend Festivities
Due to current and expected rainfall and groundwater accumulation, the 2015 Arbor Day activities have been canceled. Donated trees will still be planted at Mary Evans Elementary School at a later date.

In anticipation of the inclement weather, Mayor Terrell and Allen City Council members dedicated and planted the Official 2016 Arbor Day Tree at Mary Evans Elementary School on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The Windridge Pop Up Park, previously scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31 has been postponed as well. A rescheduled date will be published on AllenParks.org.
