Use your creativity to help transform the Allen Animal Shelter! Enter your mural or color palette ideas in the City's Paint for Paws contest. Winners will receive community recognition and tickets to an Allen Americans hockey game.

Contestants must submit a sketched mural idea featuring plants or animals, or a color palette with 3-5 complimentary colors. Each entry must be accompanied by a short essay (1-3 paragraphs) explaining the artist's choices. The contest is open to Allen residents ages 16 and older. Contestants under the age of 18 must receive the signature of a parent or guardian to participate.

Winners will assist the Allen Animal Shelter with painting the mural and will sign it as a piece of original art. All paint and supplies will be provided. All entries must be dropped off at the Allen Animal Shelter (770 S. Allen Heights Drive) by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30. Winners will be announced in early 2016.
