Join your neighbors this Thursday (Oct. 1) to help plan Allen's next big projects. The meetings will kickoff the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process to help identify and prioritize immediate infrastructure and facility needs for the Allen community. You can join a subcommittee and participate in weekly workshops focusing on public facilities, parks and recreation, public safety, streets and drainage, and finance. This process will result in recommendations that will be presented to Allen City Council for a future bond election to be held in 2016.

The subcommittees will meet weekly on Thursday evenings through Nov. 12. If you would like to be involved in this process, please complete this online form to select your areas of interest. This will help plan for attendance and guarantee that you receive the latest information and meeting schedules. To learn more about the CIP process, visit CityofAllen.org/AllenBond2016.

This is a valuable opportunity to help shape Allen's future. Please help us spread the word by forwarding this email to friends and neighbors who may be interested in joining this community effort!
Major Traffic Change: US 75 Entrance Ramp Closing for Four Months
Attention drivers! Beginning Monday (Sep. 28), the southbound entrance ramp to US 75 between McDermott Drive and Bethany Drive will be closed. The closure is expected to last through Feb. 2016 as TxDOT builds a new ramp. The frontage road will be open throughout the construction process.

To avoid major backups, drivers are urged to use alternate routes to access US 75. Suggested routes are provided on this map. Drivers who use the McDermott entrance ramp to access the US 75 HOV lane will need to take the Exchange Parkway entrance ramp instead. Drivers can also access the HOV lane further south on US 75 at Park Blvd.

To receive notification about future construction projects, sign up for our Road Construction Alerts. We also post construction reminders on the City of Allen Facebook page.
