| Citizens Police Academy Now Accepting Applications |

 If you want to learn more about the inner-workings of the Allen Police Department, this is the class for you! The Fall 2015 Citizens Police Academy class will begin Thursday, Sep. 10. The 12-week course gives Allen residents an inside look at police department operations. Participants will meet officers from various units, including K-9, SWAT, patrol, criminal investigations and crime scene. Classes meet Thursday evenings, 6-9 p.m., at the Allen Police Training Facility (802 South Greenville Avenue). Enrollment is limited to the first 30 applicants.
