Welcome to the Team! Meet Allen's New Chief Financial Officer
We want to introduce you to the newest member of Allen's city staff. Eric Cannon, chief financial officer for the Town of Addison, has accepted a new job leading Allen's finance department. As Allen's chief financial officer, he will oversee the city's annual budgets and financial reports. He will also supervise Allen's municipal court.

Cannon spent three years as Addison's CFO, where he improved controls and increased efficiency in the town's purchasing process. He has also received national attention for his commitment to financial transparency; in May he spoke about Addison's innovative public outreach methods at the Government Finance Association's annual conference.

Prior to joining the Town of Addison, Cannon worked for the Town of Trophy Club, the City of Azle and two private accounting firms. Cannon holds bachelor degrees in business administration, accounting and finance from Texas Christian University.
