The Civil War Comes to Life this weekend at Allen Heritage Village. The Allen Heritage Guild, featuring the Collin County Living Historians, will host a series of events Saturday and Sunday depicting this crucial part of American history. There will be a civil war encampment, skirmish, demonstrations of camp life, musket firing, pie baking contest, campfire stories, and more. Allen Heritage Village is located at 450 East St. Mary Drive, across from the Allen Senior Recreation Center.

| Important Traffic Information - Around Allen and US 75 Ramp Closures |

Through a grant provided through the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), the City of Allen has begun installation of traffic counters to begin the process of retiming the traffic signals on Exchange Parkway, Alma Drive, Watters Road, Greenville Avenue, Bethany Drive, McDermott Road, and Stacy Road.
The US 75 southbound Bethany Road ramp will be closed overnight on Tuesday, October 28 and Wednesday, October 29 for construction. The ramp closure will begin at 9 p.m. and remain closed until 5 a.m. the next morning each day.
