In observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, please join the Allen Police Department and the Collin County Crime Victim's Council at the Allen Public Library Civic Auditorium on October 22 for a screening of the HBO documentary, "Private Violence." The Allen Police Department is pleased to present this exclusive showing in Collin County to help educate the public about the disturbing facts surrounding domestic violence against women in America. There are two showtimes available - 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Mark Ye Ole Calendar for This Year's Arbor Day Celebration!
Come out to Story Park on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to noon for this year's Arbor Day Celebration. There will be activities, crafts, demos, group tree plantings, costume contests and more! Presented by Keep Allen Beautiful, Chambersville Tree Farm, Allen Parks and Recreation and the City of Allen. Make sure to share this great video about Arrrrbor Day!

And don't forget to order your Trees for Allen! Trees not only beautify our city but are beneficial to the environment in so many ways. Trees will be available for pick up at this years annual Allen Recycles Day event on November 1.
