The Allen Police Department (APD), along with the citizens of Allen, will be participating in National Night Out, Tuesday, October 7. Allen Police officers will be available to visit residential block parties. If you would like Allen officers to visit your neighborhood block party, please contact Officer Hester at chester@cityofallen.org. Last year, APD visited 50 block parties throughout the city.
National Night Out began in 1984 as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
