It's almost time for the 10th annual Educator Expo sponsored by Keep Allen Beautiful and the City of Allen. Held at the Allen Senior Recreation Center on Tuesday, September 30 from 4 to 6 p.m., this come-and-go event gives classroom and other organizational educators a chance to meet representatives from the City of Allen, Collin County and more to learn about educational programs available to enhance the learning experience. Attendees will receive the Educator Expo booklet as a program reference guide and an insulated, reusable bag from Keep Allen Beautiful. RSVP in advance and you could win a special door prize.

Like to play hockey and help a good cause? Then round up your friends and register to play in the annual Pinktoberfest Women's Ice Hockey Tournament from October 10 - 12 at the Allen Community Ice Rink. The tournament is open to women 18 years and older and teams have until September 20 to get registered. Proceeds benefit the Texas Health Presbyterian Allen Breast Center. Road Construction and Improvements for Ridgeview Drive Coming Soon |

 In advance of the much anticipated Watters Branch Community Park, roadway construction and improvements are anticipated to begin next month on Ridgeview Drive. Construction will include extending the existing two lanes of Ridgeview Drive to Watters Branch Creek, a six-lane bridge across Watters Branch Creek, and four lanes from Watters Branch Creek through Stacy Road. Once complete, this will create key connections to the new park under development along the south side of Ridgeview Drive in Northwest Allen.
