The Fall 2014 Citizens Police Academy class will begin Thursday, September 4 at 6 p.m. This 12-week course provides Allen residents an opportunity to meet with officers from various units of the police department; including K-9, SWAT, Patrol, Criminal Investigations and Crime Scene. Classes meet Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Police Driving Track and Training Facility. Complete and return this application to enroll in the class. | Collin County Historical Commission Unveils Marker at Allen Heritage Center |

 The Collin County Historical Commission and Allen Heritage Guild will host the public unveiling of the Collin County Historical Marker for the Allen Heritage Center (Train Depot) on Saturday at 10 a.m. Located at 100 E. Main Street in the heart of Allen, the heritage center is a replica of the original Houston & Texas Central (H&TC) Railway Company freight and passenger train depot from 1918. The present structure was built by the City of Allen in conjunction with a project of Leadership Allen Class X. |
