Seasonal Watering Restrictions Extended Through July 5
|
 |
We appreciate your efforts to conserve water during this extended period of drought. Recent rainfall has not significantly improved low lake levels. Please continue the current schedule of twice monthly watering listed below until further notice. Like the other North Texas Municipal Water District member cities, the City of Allen is evaluating the board's recommendation of twice monthly watering through October. Priorities continue to be safeguarding water supplies for public health, sanitation and firefighting along with attempting to delay or avoid the severity of Stage 4 restrictions.
Customers may use sprinklers or irrigation systems once every two weeks for landscape/lawn watering. Customers must use the Stage 3 Outdoor Watering Schedule Map and the Watering Week Schedule Calendar to identify the day on which watering is permitted for their neighborhood. Learn More...

US 75 Construction Update - Northbound Concrete Traffic Barriers Installation |
 |
Now that the concrete traffic barrier installation on the southbound frontage road of US 75 is complete, work will begin next week on the northbound side. As was the case previously, installation of these barriers requires two lanes of traffic causing intermittent temporary closures of ramps and the frontage road (full width).
In order to lessen the impact to drivers, the following measures are being taken:
- The work will only be done at night.
- Message boards will be used to alert drivers in the event of ramp closures.
- Detour signs will be used to alert drivers in event of frontage road closures, directing local traffic onto public streets.
Traffic control and work is anticipated to begin at about 8 p.m. each night, with complete ramp and frontage road closures to occur after 10 p.m.
