Waterline Flushing Notice - Due to Recent NTMWD Maintenance
|
 |
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) completed its one month period of free chlorine maintenance in the treated water system on Monday, March 17 for its water facilities. To ensure water quality for our residents, the recent maintenance has necessitated flushing of water lines by opening fire hydrants in the neighborhood distribution system. The flushing is not system-wide, but focused on areas where disinfectant levels are approaching state minimums. The City's flushing program is proactively designed to minimize water use for line flushing and achieve the City's goal of providing safe, clean, pleasant tasting water, and prevent potential health hazards.
