After several grueling elimination rounds of play this week, the Lone Star Conference (LSC) Men's and Women's Semifinals are tonight Allen Event Center - 6 p.m. for the Women and 8:30 p.m. for the Men. The winning teams from tonight's games move on the finals on Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Make sure to head out early for Fan Fest which will include free food, free games and free fun from noon to 3 p.m. The 3rd Annual Mascot Challenge is sure to be a treat! |
Information Session Regarding Migratory Birds to be Held on March 8

 Join the Parks and Recreation staff to discuss migratory birds in our area and ways to prevent large nesting sites. The program will be held March 8 at 11 a.m. in the Allen Public Library Civic Auditorium, 300 N. Allen Drive. Topics covered include identifying the Cattle Egret and its sentry the Night Heron, ecological significance and federal protection. There will also be time for questions and answers from attendees. A copy of the program will be made available on our ACTV video-on-demand page. |
