Keep Allen Beautiful in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry Division have added an additional Trees for Allen sale opportunity to provide residents a low cost option to help replace trees that may have been lost during the extreme weather events late last year. Available tree varieties are selected as those best suited for the North Texas climate and soil type. Supplies are limited - make sure to check your next utility bill for the order form. Trees will be available to pick up on March 29 from 8 a.m. to Noon at the City of Allen Municipal Service Center, 900 S. Greenville Avenue.

Exchange Parkway Construction Updates and Reminders
The Quail Run neighborhood and businesses at the southwest corner of Watters Road and Bossy Boots will experience a power outage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 1 as Oncor installs new power lines due to the widening of Exchange Parkway. Oncor will make every effort to complete the work in a timely manner. All households and businesses impacted by the outage received door-to-door notification earlier in the week. In order to minimize the impact to weekday business activities and evening temperatures to households, the service disruption was planned for daylight hours on a Saturday. See  map.

As a reminder, the speed limits in work zones have been reduced to protect the safety of motorists and construction workers. The Allen Police Department is monitoring the area and issuing tickets when speed limits are exceeded. Please use every caution and consider finding alternate routes if needed. More information on Exchange Parkway construction.
