Once the holidays wind down and it's time to put away all the decorations, remember the City of Allen offers a collection of natural Christmas trees for residents as part of its City-wide composting program. Participating in this free program is simple! Make sure the tree is smaller than six feet or cut into pieces smaller than six feet in length, then set it out on your normal trash day. The City cannot accept any flocked trees for composting and all ornaments, lights, decorations and base stations must be removed prior to collection. City Facilities Holiday Closures and Hours of Operation

Allen City Hall and Municipal Complex will observe the following closure dates in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays:
Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 Open: Tuesday, December 31 Closed: Wednesday, January 1
