City Response for Tree Debris Removal

Due to the impact of ice and severe weather, City of Allen crews are implementing storm damage response efforts. The first priority this week is the removal of tree debris from all streets, alleys, and public property. Beginning Monday, Dec. 16, City crews will collect residential tree debris which will be ongoing over the next few weeks. Please note the following about collection efforts:
- The City cannot enter private property to help reduce, cut up, or remove debris. For this reason, residents must clear the property of damaged trees and branches and place debris curbside (facing the street) to be picked up by City crews. Please do not place collection in the street or alleyway.
- Tree debris does not have to be bundled but does have to be cut 4 to 6 feet in length.
- Debris cannot include fence panels, construction or remodeling debris of any kind. Residents may take fence panels to the Custer Road Transfer Station Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The transfer station is located on Ridgeview Drive just west of Custer Road. A driver's license and recent City utility bill is needed for proof of residency.
- Residents do not need to call for pick up as City crews will be assigned to designated areas and will be driving through residential streets looking for curbside collections over a two to three week period.
- The cost of the service is provided as part of your residential waste service fees. The service is not provided for commercial or homeowner association owned properties.
