The Tom Thumb Texas Stampede kicks up the dirt tonight and tomorrow at Allen Event Center! There are three performances of no-holds-barred, PRCA sanctioned, rodeo competition featuring Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bareback Riding, Tie-Down Roping and Barrel Racing. TAPS Partners with City of Allen to Get Workers to Jobs

 Just in time for Black Friday, thousands of workers employed by Allen businesses will be able to avoid the heavy traffic and overflow parking lots by getting on the bus. Through a partnership with regional transportation provider, TAPS Public Transit, anyone who works in the city along one of two routes, can get on board and relax on the way to their job. There is even WiFi available on the buses!
Visit tapsbus.com/allen-jarc to see the three new routes scheduled to begin running in Allen on Monday, Nov. 18. All three routes operate seven days a week.

Market Street presents City of Allen Check for Sponsor Commitment

 At a recent Allen City Council Meeting, Market Street's regional Vice President of Operations Kurt McMillan and Allen's Market Street General Manger, Jason D'Onofrio presented the City with a check for $100,000 indicating their commitment to be the title sponsor of Allen's signature event, Allen USA Celebration, through 2018. Market Street had previously committed to a three year agreement in 2010 to be the title sponsor for AllenUSA. This check presentation extends the commitment for five more years. |
