Constitutional Amendments on Election Ballot
|
 There are nine proposed state constitutional amendments on the Nov. 5 election ballot. Proposition 6 provides for the creation of the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas and the State Water Implementation Revenue Fund for Texas to assist in the financing of priority projects in the state water plan to ensure the availability of adequate water resources.
Early voting runs from Oct. 21 through Nov. 1 with Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5. See the Collin County Elections Office for a sample ballot, early voting and election day polling locations.

City of Allen Employees Begin Their Annual United Way Campaign

Each fall, City of Allen employees embark on a month-long campaign to raise funds and awareness for the United Way. This year the campaign started off with a "Day of Caring" where volunteers from the City helped support the Meals on Wheels program for Allen Community Outreach. Over 30 volunteers assisted on eight delivery routes around our area. The campaign goes into full swing next week and includes a Food Drive to benefit the Allen Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry.
