On Thursday, August 22, the Edge Skatepark will give families with small children an opportunity to have the skatepark all to themselves! From 6 to 8 p.m., children from the ages of 1 - 14 accompanied by at least one parent will have access to the park.
CERT educates participants about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue and disaster medical operations. CERT is a 20-hour, hands-on course in disaster response and runs every Thursday beginning September 26 through November 14. There is a final session on Saturday, November 16. Download the flyer.

This is a 12-week course providing Allen residents an opportunity to meet with officers from various units of their police department; including K-9, SWAT, Patrol, Criminal Investigations and Crime Scene. Classes begin Thursday, September 5 at 6 p.m. and run each Thursday night through November at the Police Driving track and training facility located at the Municipal Service Center. Allen Public Library Closed for Staff Training
Just a reminder that the Allen Public Library will be closed on Friday, August 23 for staff training. The Library will re-open on Saturday, August 24, at 10 a.m.
