Allen Curfew Ordinance Reaffirmed by Allen City Council
curfew
Allen City Council renewed the Curfew for Juveniles in the City of Allen Code of Ordinances this week. The Texas Local Government Code requires each city to review their curfew ordinance every three years. In the ordinance, curfew hours means from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and begins after Midnight on Fridays, at 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. for Saturdays and Sundays. The curfew applies to minors under the age of 17. The Allen Police Department recommended reaffirming the ordinance as it provides additional tools in their effort to prevent crimes and historical data indicates that the need for the ordinance continues to be justified.
