Saturday morning, the Allen Public Library hosts Howard Garrett, aka "The Dirt Doctor," and a team of top experts to present a nearly full-day of programming dedicated to natural living and health. The Healthy Living and Growing Seminar begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. in the Civic Auditorium. The event is free and sponsored by the Allen Public Library, the City of Allen Parks and Recreation and Community Services Departments, and the Organics Club of America. Lone Star Championship Needs Volunteers!

This year's Lone Star Conference Men's and Women's Championship Basketball tournament is quickly approaching, and volunteers are needed to help produce a great experience for the student athletes who will be competing March 6 - 9 at Allen Event Center. It is easy to sign-up - simply fill out this short form! Volunteers receive a t-shirt and a free game ticket for each session worked as well as a bite to eat and a unique behind-the-scenes look at how an exciting tournament like this comes together.

Texas vs. The Nation All-Star College Football Game Coming to Allen
Texas vs. The Nation football game
The Allen Convention & Visitors Bureau has been working with Allen ISD as they host the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game. The action kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2 at Eagle Stadium.

With teams made up of top college-level football talent from across Texas and the nation and more than 250 NFL scouts in the stands looking for their next NFL recruit - the game is guaranteed to be a good one!
