You're A Son In Your Father's Heart  1 John 3:1; Galatians 4:6-7

  

         Listen with your spirit to the Word of God for you in 1 John 3:1. "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" And Galatians 4:6-7. "Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, 'Abba, Father.' So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir."

 

          Beloved one, be blessed to be established in your true identity as a son or daughter of your Father with his lavish blessings as his heir. He unveils and reveals to you who you are and affirms to you how he sees you in Christ, your hope of glory. Be blessed with deep speaking to deep in you, the place where your heavenly Father calls forth your real essence as his beloved son. Your Father's heart is passionate for your full identity as his son, based purely on relationship, not competence. He calls you to fully possess the sonship you are due. You do not have to work for it. You can't earn it, and you can never lose it. Perfect love casts out the fear that you aren't enough, or you don't have what it takes.

 

          There may be a blessing from your generations that you never got. This is the empty piece inside. The Bible was written in and to a culture that was steeped in blessing: blessing the child in giving him his name, passing the patriarchal blessing on to the children's children, giving and receiving the priestly blessing. Receive in your heavenly Father the father's blessing that you craved from your earthly father. As you receive, be blessed to think generationally. Be intentional about leaving a generational legacy, a trust fund of blessings for your spiritual and physical generations.

 

          Your Father is passionate about the deep well of your belonging and worth. Be settled in your legitimacy in the true covenant sonship of God your Father. Your abiding nature as a son is marked by freedom, nobility of birth and character, confident identity, honor, dignity, legal authority, purpose, true personhood, access to your Father, deep intimacy with him and within his house, and family likeness. In your Father you have his assurance that you are an heir to this rich trust fund laid up for you in his heart.

 

          Receive personally this prayer of Paul for his spiritual children in Ephesians 1:17-19. "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." Receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and live in him. Be blessed to know him better and his power for you.

 

Be blessed in the name of your glorious Father who opens the eyes of your heart

to receive his glorious inheritance in you (Eph 1:17-18)
