With Half Marathon weekend only days away, we want to touch base with you one last time with some last-minute notes.
- If you have not yet done so, please review your Race Weekend Instructions for information on the Health & Fitness Expo, packet pick-up, event parking and traffic information, and maps. For the link to the RWI, click HERE.
- If you have family or friends who would like to do an event, there will be race weekend registration at the Expo. For the 5K, you can register Friday from noon to 6 PM and on race morning (November 15) beginning at 6:30 at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove. For the Half Marathon (limited entries available) you can register Friday from noon to 6 PM or Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
- If you'd like to track a runner during the 5K or Half Marathon, you can sign up for FREE runner tracking HERE. You can also sign up for this service on our free Mobile App for iPhone and Android. Search the app store under "BSIM Events" to download. You can follow your runner either online or on your mobile device.
- Your Virtual Race Bag is now available HERE. Take advantage of discount offers on merchandise, local restaurants, race entries and more.
- Treadmill, the Monterey Peninsula's running company, will be hosting the first-ever FREE "Recovery Zone" at the Half Marathon finish at the Custom House Plaza. The Treadmill will have demo units from Tiger Tail Recovery Sticks, R8 Recovery Rollers, Trigger Point Foam Rollers and NormaTec Recovery Compression Boots. While you recover from your race, enjoy samples from the first certified organic, plant-based post-exercise recovery drink C12.
- And finally...the weather forecast is for GREAT running conditions! Saturday's 5K and 3K will offer sunshine and temperatures in the low 50's to low 60's. The forecast for Sunday's Half Marathon is mostly sunny with lows in the low 50's and highs in the mid-60's.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
The Big Sur Half Marathon Team
