Welcome to the 2014 Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge! We applaud your dedication, desire and ability to take on the athletic endeavor of completing two marathons six days apart.  We hope your training has gone well and that you are ready for Boston on the 21st and, six days later, Big Sur.
Things to Note for 2014

Dean Karnazes is returning as the official host of the Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge.  He has prepared some tips on recovering from back-to-back races in a relatively short time frame.  You can read his advice by clicking HERE.  Dean will be one of six panelists at Saturday's free Expo Clinic at noon on running the Big Sur course.  At 4:00 PM, he will host the  Boston 2 Big Sur clinic.  All clinics are held in the Steinbeck Forum on the third floor of the Health and Fitness Expo.

Beginning on Monday, April 21, we will be collecting your official Boston finish time (you are no longer required to send us this information yourself).  To take part in B2B, you must finish Boston within its time limit.  If you don't run Boston or finish within this time limit, you are no longer eligible to take part in the Boston 2 Big Sur Challenge.  If this is the case for you, and you still plan on running Big Sur, we will move you over to the open marathon category.  Email sally@bsim.org with any changes to your race status.

We very much look forward to seeing you at the Boston and Big Sur Marathons!  Be sure to let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
