| Greetings!
Welcome to the 11th Presentation of the Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay to be held Sunday, November 17, 2013. We welcome racers, recreational runners, first timers and half marathon veterans, along with our walkers and charity entrants. The Half Marathon is a scenic, gently rolling course that starts and finishes in historic downtown Monterey, goes along Steinbeck's Cannery Row and next to the spectacular Pacific Grove shoreline. There is a 3 1/2 hour timit limit to complete the half marathon.
Registration will open Monday, April 1 at 7:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time. The Half Marathon field is limited to 9,000 entrants. There will be no price increase this year but we are offering an "early bird special" of $95 from April 1 through April 15. The event has sold out for the past eight years so we encourage everyone to register early!
The Clif Bar Pace Team will be returning as the official pace team of the Half Marathon. Whether you are looking to set a PR or just to finish, the pace leaders will be there to help you reach your goal. To learn more about the Clif Bar Pace Team click HERE.
Other race weekend events include the Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K and JUST RUN! Just Kids 3K held on Saturday, November 16 in Pacific Grove.
