Greetings! 

The Big Sur Half Marathon, Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K and JUST RUN! Just Kids 3K are now just days away! We hope you are trained, rested and ready to run or walk!  In the event of inclement weather, be sure to dress in layers for warmth, and plan on bringing rain gear. A plastic trash bag can help you stay dry, and gloves and waterproof caps are a must in the event that it does rain!

Here are some final comments and updates:

- If you haven't yet read your Race Weekend Instructions, click HERE to download. There are also links available on the homepage at www.bigsurhalfmarathon.org.  This document contains important information you need to know about race weekend.

- We try hard to treat all our runners as elites and VIPS. A printing error on the bibs substituted   the word "Elite" for "Corral" right above your corral letter on the bib.  So now...ALL our runners are elites! The corral letter is correct.  This will be a real keeper bib!

- Pre-registration for all events closed on Friday, November 9. Any changes to your existing registration will need to be made at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, November 16 or Saturday, November 17.  Go to the Solutions Desk in the packet pick-up area.

- If you will be running in a Wear Your Number shirt race day and wish to have a beer at the finish, be sure to have your real bib in your pocket or sweat bag as it shows your age. Must be 21 or older for beer!

- The Monterey Herald's Capture Monterey challenge:  Whether you're running the event or spectating, upload your photos of the thousands of runners on race day along the beautiful course.  Share your photos socially and encourage your friends to "dig it" or "nix it!" You pick the People's Choice and the Herald will select the Editors' Choice.  Both winners will get a prize!

- Expo notes:

• Start (or finish) your holiday shopping at the Expo. Lots of merchandise, ornaments, framed posters and more available
• Michael Martinez, best known as the Marathon piano player at Bixby Bridge, will have his CD's for sale at the Expo
• Don't forget to print coupons from your iGift bag and bring them to the Expo
• Come watch one of our several Saturday Expo Clinics in the Steinbeck Forum (3rd floor). Some great topics and speakers. Check out the schedule HERE
