 Greetings!

Welcome

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday and we wish all of you a wonderful rest of the year and a happy Christmas season holiday.  This will be the last newsletter for 2012 and with the new year, we sincerely pray for a better year ahead and that we can overcome the negative trends that have prevailed recently.

Following is a letter Micheal Halebian set to us in response to our concern for the Micheal Halebian Company's survival of the superstorm Sandy.  We wanted to share it with you.

Gary Verhey
Michael Halebian Company Survives Superstorm Sandy

Halebian logoSandy was the worst storm to hit New York Metro in recorded history.   Sandy hit NJ the hardest although parts of Lower Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island took severe blows.

Major winds hit the area when the storm first began. Local bridges and tunnels to NYC were closed due to the high winds.  High winds knocked huge trees onto streets, homes and cars resulting in multiple fatalities.

Trees often landed on top of utility poles which knocked out power to
homes and businesses for about one week.  MHCO was closed for the entire week as we had no power. We were lucky in that our buildings were not flooded! Buildings on neighboring streets were flooded up to three feet of water!

Jersey Shore was devastated. Ocean waves came in and destroyed
hundreds of shore homes and took them out to see. At one point the
ocean cut a channel through a barrier island.

US Army Corps of Engineers is working hard to restore land that
was washed away by the sea. There is also a huge amount of debris
lying on the ocean floor near the shore which will ultimately be removed.

Clean up cost in time and money can only be estimated at this time.
Some reports say three years and maybe 30 billion plus dollars. I
dont think anyone is sure right now.

Storm took lives and property.  We will survive and rebuild. New Yorkers are not people who give up easily.

QEP Co., Inc. Adds Roberts 18 In. and 25 In. PRO Flooring Cutters

Boca Raton, FL October 15, 2012 -  QEP Co., Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of the Roberts 10-66 18 In. and 10-68 25 In. PRO Flooring Cutters to our expanding line of flooring cutters in our professional line of Roberts branded tools.
The Roberts 10-66 18 In. PRO Flooring Cutter is a guillotine-style cutter manufactured to cut precise, clean-edges on all types of flooring materials. The large cutting table stabilizes planks up to 18" while the extendible handle provides extra leverage for more cutting power.  This extra power is great not only for cutting laminate and engineered wood but also for cutting a variety of other flooring materials such as vinyl flooring, vinyl siding, VCT tiles and rubber or foam tiles. The cutting guide swivels for angled cuts up to 12.5" wide and 5/8" thick at a 45˚ angle and because it is fully adjustable, it is easy to maintain perfect 90˚ cuts, even after years of use.
