Karenna Gore Speaks at Earth Day Texas this Friday, 5 p.m., April 24, 2015

Gore invited to speak and share global perspectives to help influence the way Texans think, live and work
DALLAS (April 2015) – After four years of building the largest annual public green exhibition in the world, Earth Day Texas (EDTX) will celebrate its fifth anniversary by expanding to a three-day event to engage business and civic leaders. Karenna Gore is one of several confirmed speakers invited to better engage business and civic leaders in Texas.
"Gore is a well-respected progressive thought leader in topics regarding environmental awareness," said Trammell S. Crow, founder of Earth Day Texas. "Her global perspective will help Earth Day Texas positively influence the way Texans think, live and work."
Ms. Gore is Director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York. Gore received an M.A. in Social Ethics from Union, a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an A.B. degree from Harvard University. Ms. Gore previously worked as a lawyer and as Director of Community Affairs for the Association to Benefit Children. Ms. Gore is also the author of Lighting the Way: Nine Women Who Changed Modern America and lives in New York City with her three children. She is the eldest daughter of former Vice President Al Gore.
Ms. Gore will speak Friday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. on the Main Stage in the Automobile Building at Fair Park to an audience of business leaders and the general public. Her speech at Earth Day Texas is titled, "Integrity and Earth: Honoring Our Roots While Enhancing Progress."
Other speakers at Earth Day Texas include Bill White (Former Mayor of Houston), Dan Patrick (Texas Lt. Governor), David Yarnold (President, Audubon Society), Bill Hammond (President, Texas Association of Business) and Ryan Sitton (Texas Railroad Commissioner).
