VIDEO: Al Jazeera America features Restoration Not Incarceration™ worldwide

As promised, here is the link to the Al Jazeera America story that ran across the country and worldwide featuring our Restoration Not Incarceration™ work week on the Texas Gulf Coast, where we are addressing climate change, sea level rise, coastal prairie extinction, and incarceration at the same time.

[Live links are broken after a few days, so this raw edited file is without the AJ name fonts on it or any locators of where the story was or who the speakers are.]

Those details are:

National correspondent Heidi Zhou-Castro along with photojournalist Juan Renteria spent a day with Great Plains Restoration Council’s Restoration Not Incarceration™ crew on The Nature Conservancy’s Texas City Prairie Preserve, which protects some of the last coastal prairie on the Gulf of Mexico. In this clip you see interviews with GPRC crew members Pierre Johnson and KB Kabuta, and American writer and GPRC founder Jarid Manos, as people work to restore the land and themselves.

Please share. And as always, thanks for supporting Great Plains Restoration Council. We hope everybody is having a good summer.

NOTE: Correction from last GPRC newsletter: In our last newsletter, part of Pierre’s text was inadvertently cut off. There were six people who worked on the Texas City Prairie Preserve project. The Restoration Not Incarceration™ crew consisted of Pierre Johnson, Jr., KB Kabuta, Jarid Manos, Lindsey Gordon, LT Lewis, Jr, and Bert Bradley.
