Second (Actually Third) Sunday Hike Fort Worth Prairie Park Sunday, February 16, 2pm-4:30pm
Due to no fault of the prairie, our usual Second Sunday Hike will be on the Third Sunday this month. Weather should be excellent by then. Hope to see you there!
Come explore the browns of winter and look closer for signs of spring's rebirth. See the diversity that makes the Fort Worth Prairie the ultimate vacation destination for our native migrating insects and birds. Catch glimpses and traces of our year round residents.
If you are unable to attend, the park can be accessed for private hikes by organizations, contact us here or at www.savetheprairie.org. We will meet at the gate around 2 and hike shortly after. Approach from Old Granbury Road from the north. The south access from FM1187 is blocked by the new tollway, so don't listen to your GPS when it says to go that way. Pass three blocked road signs to get to the park. Come see for yourself why we should save our wild places
PLEASE NOTE: ACCESS FROM 1187 AND GRANBURY RD FROM THE SOUTH IS BLOCKED BY THE TOLLWAY NOW! LOOK FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE HIKE ON OUR WEBPAGE
SPREAD THE WORD EVERY WAY YOU CAN!
