"When people care about what they do, it's amazing the things they'll accomplish."
- Vint Cerf, IRI Medalist
A memorable and delightful talk about the creation of the underlying protocols that defined the Internet (TCP/IP) by one of its creators and a 2016 IRI Medalist, Vinton Cerf, VP and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google.

The quote above was but one of many features of his talk, along with his casual mingling through the audience as he fielded questions from IRI members during Q&A.

Video from Cerf's talk can be found in the
IRI Learning Center.
"We haven't seen anything when it comes to the speed of innovation. We're standing still next to what's coming."
- Peter Diamandis, IRI Medalist
If there was ever a sense that humanity's future was precarious, riding on a knife's edge of bleakness and dread, one need only listen to Peter Diamandis talk about what data actually shows regarding our position in the world. A riveting and entertaining presentation about how our present is by far the happiest and most prosperous time period in human history and that our future looks even better... way better, in fact.

By analyzing what demographic data and technology trends have to say about what's in store for humanity, Diamandis starts by saying how vital it is to cut watching the news out of your life because it does nothing but drain it, and concludes that our future is going to be a period of exponential change that makes everything happening today look painfully slow.

Video from Diamandis's talk can be found in the IRI Learning Center.
