Ryan Dirkx, VP of R&D, Arkema, to Speak at Société de Chimie Industrielle
Ryan Dirkx serves as Vice President of Research and Development of Arkema Inc. and is responsible for R&D in North America as well as R&D coordination between the U.S. and France. He is a Past-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Industrial Research Institute, and Past Co-Chair of the Board on Chemical Science & Technology, part of the National Academies. He also holds more than a dozen patents.
"As a lifelong student of innovation management, I am convinced that there is always more to learn on this subject," Dirkx said. "I am honored that the Société has offered me the opportunity to engage with others on such an important topic."
Dirkx received a PhD in Solid State Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a BS in Ceramic Engineering from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He continues to study innovation processes and R&D management for competitive advantage.
On November 18, Dirkx is delivering a talk at a Société luncheon at the Yale Club in New York City titled:
"The Challenge of Innovation as a Driver of Corporate Growth"

At the 2015 AIChE Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Ceramatec's Anthony Nickens, an IRI Board Member, will deliver a talk on IRI2038 titled:
