- Transamerica's Transcend: With Transcend, certain conditions that on their own would have previously caused a prospective client to be rated Table B, C or D can now be improved, as long as no other conditions apply.
- Asthma: Even those who may be taking medication may qualify for Preferred Status on a case-by-case basis.
- Hypertension: Medication and treatment of hypertension can now help to control it and decrease the risk of other associated health complications. Because of this Transamerica has enhanced their underwriting guidelines to allow individuals with hypertension to be considered for Preferred Plus status if they meet certain qualifications.

No Stacking: Rather than combine two non-related medical conditions for class rating purposes, we created the non-stacking guideline. It uses the higher of the two single classifications, which is typically a much better rating.
