Baby Boomers Redefine Retirement      ING
3 Ways Boomers are changing retirement

ING CEO, Rodney Martin spoke to CNBC Squawk Box regarding how baby boomers are changing retirement in the country.  The interview was also featured in USAToday.  Boomers are retiring earlier, a large number of boomers plan to continue to work in some way and they realize that money is not everything.  Boomers who are currently working plan to retire at age 65, which is younger than in 2010.  While boomers plan to retire from their regular jobs 80 percent still plan to work in some capacity.  51 percent plan to continue to work full time but make career changes while 28 percent plan to just work part time.    Boomers have several reasons to continue to work and money is not everything.  In fact, only 51 percent are planning to continue to work to supplement income.  Others will continue to work to avoid boredom and maintain insurance benefits.
