How does it work and why are the results so staggering?

1. You submit either a formal application or a Shaw Assist Form.
2. Please don't setup the exam, Banner will do that for you.
3. A physician will call your client, usually the next day. By having an MD interview your client and ask the medical questions, the home office underwriter receives a very details summary of your clients medical history. This avoids ordering many routine medical records, by doing this underwriting is cut down by several weeks.
4. Medical records that are required are ordered immediately, this is done while we await the medical exam.
5. When the medical exam is completed, your client isn't ask all the medical questions all over again, this speeds up the exam process.
6. In most cases, the medical exam is received at the home office at the same time any aps' are received.
7. Using this unique system, the underwriting department has in their hands, the medical exam, the aps records and a summary completed by the physician usually within a week from your submission.
8. At this point, Banner is ready to make a decision based on having "all the relevant information".
9. The policy can be approved and issued "electronically" so you receive the policy almost immediately.
