Many advisors are reviewing their clients financial's curious to determine how to use the economics of the post-election economy to improve their client's positions. Dynamic changes occurred when our country re-elected our president. The overwhelming sentiment, balancing the budget is essential and it will be balanced through increased revenue and not by Draconian cuts to social or military programs. In essence a net tax hike is expected as a result of the fiscal cliff and expiration of the Bush Tax cuts. Most of the tax increase, if not by percentage, by real dollars will be garnered from upper income clients by increasing income , capital gains and estate taxes.
This is very important to our industry, because life insurance is still the best tax avoidance product on the marketplace, with deferred tax growth of cash values, income tax free death benefits and estate tax free benefits (with use of an ILIT). Our middle income and upper income clients will more easily appreciate the value of life insurance as these tax increases take place.
It is very important for you to touch base with your existing clientele and start telling our story over and over again. Quite often our clients look to purchase a minimal amount of life insurance, they assume there is a better way to skin the cat, but after reviewing all of the alternatives, there really isn't a better way to create significant amounts of tax free wealth as easily as your clients can buy using life insurance. You will find that many clients care significantly about their families and will want to buy more than just the minimum amount of coverage.
Protection of the family's economic status is more important now than ever before.
