Forest Grove High School students raised more than $1,500 Thursday to help a fellow student who has undergone three brain surgeries in the past few months. Students have adopted Chloe McCall, 16, as their "Sparrow" and are also volunteering for community service projects to raise additional money for Chloe. Each year the school's Sparrow Club adopts a young person with a life-altering illness and raises money to help the family with emotional and financial support. Last fall Chloe started having severe migraine headaches, and an MRI in October revealed a brain cyst that has a tumor below it. She has undergone three surgeries since then and has begun 30 rounds of radiation therapy. Read more about Chloe
