Project Spotlight

Flow by artist Laura Garanzuay

A new artwork is installed at 2nd and Guadalupe. This work is part of the "Rivers, Streams and Springs" public art master plan for 2nd Street, desitned by artist Barbara Grygutis.

Flow is composed of hundreds of stainless steel bolt heads and washers installed in the concrete sidewalk. The design incorporates gracefully curving lines and circles, as well as outlines of flora and fauna.

The concentric circles intersect, symbolizing raindrops carried along in the river, providing the life source for many living things.
