THIRST THIRST, a temporary public art installation on loan to the City of Austin, will be on view for three months this fall, starting September 28. This large-scale site-specific installation will be located on Lady Bird Lake, near the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge. Austin's Center for Women & Their Work assembled a team of artists and architects--Beili Liu, Emily Little, Norma Yancey, and Cassie Bergstrom--to collaborate on the project, which is funded by a grant from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and private donations. THIRST memorializes the loss of over 300 million trees that died in the drought of 2011.
See Thirstart.org for additional information.
