Gear Grove and Stem Rack will be in place soon!

Two bike rack sculptures sponsored by the Downtown Austin Alliance will be gracing Congress Avenue before the end of the year.

Ben Harman's Gear Grove is fabricated and waiting on final City permitting to be completed prior to installation in the sidewalk  "furniture zone" at 816 Congress (south west corner of Congress and 9th Street).
Harman Base
The sculpture incorporates approximately 700 used bike gears collected by the artist over the last several years.
Harman Gears Ann Armstrong's Stem Rack will be located at 111 Congress Avenue (on the south side of 2nd Street, mid-way between Congress and Brazos).
The inspiration for this sculpture came from a walk along nearby Lady Bird Lake and the vegetation found along its banks.
Fabrication is underway.

These sculptures will be able to beautifully park a minimum of 2 bicycles each in Austin's downtown.
