This week, we celebrate and commemorate two sacred seasons in Judaism and Christianity: Passover/Pesach and Holy Week/Easter.  Both seasons are about deliverance and hope. Both seasons see the hand of the Almighty in the deliverance from internal and external bondage, and in providing hope for a fresh new start in a new landscape, a new world, crafted with love and grace.

As I reflect this Holy Week, I am acutely aware of my own wealth, my own blessings, my own landscape crafted by a good God with love and grace. I am also acutely aware that there are many, many families desperate for deliverance from a downward economic spiral, families who hungrily seek to move to a home of their own, to gain the stability and strength of community that comes from home ownership.

I want to thank you for partnering with me and with Habitat in our service to families in their journey towards home ownership, as we together build a new world, one home at a time, crafted in love and grace.
