August 2012 NYS Regents

The January 2012 NYS Regents exam questions are now available in Algebra II & Trigonometry and Geometry. Also available in Geometry are the June 2012 NYS Regents exam questions.

In addition, the August 2012 NYS Regents exam questions are also now available in Integrated Algebra.

Questions Using Calculators
New Extended Response Questions

Various questions in Castle Learning's math courses may require the use of a calculator.  In most instances, we have provided the "Key Stroke" sequence or a variety of "screen grabs" in the hint and/or reason sections. Students will benefit from this, reviewing the sequence of steps in the calculation process.

These calculator-based questions can be found in most levels, but are generally found in the higher-end topics.

August 2012 NYS Regents

 

Castle Learning has just released the August 2012 NYS Regents Exams in Social Studies.

The latest questions are now available in the Global History & Geography and U.S. History & Government Regents courses.
New Question Attributes  

Several new question attributes have recently been added to Castle Learning Online courses including:

New Literature Set Released
Othello

The Shakespeare drama, Othello, has just been added to Castle Learning Online's Course: English Language Arts. This is the fourth Shakespearian drama completed by Castle Learning's English Curriculum team.

 

There are over 190 multiple choice questions based on the play, Othello. Constructed Response questions will also be available in the near future.

Physics Constructed Response

Just introduced - our first constructed response questions in Physics! As requested, the Castle Learning Online Science Team has released the first batch of 20 teacher-scored constructed response questions in Physics that require students to "show their work."

All constructed response questions in Earth Science, Biology/Living Environment, Chemistry, and Physics are also now correlated to Bloom's Cognitive Levels, Bloom's Knowledge Levels, and Webb's Depth of Knowledge Levels.
