Less than Nothing, Again! - DOJ plays more games with Chicago police crime victims

What happens when victims of Chicago police murder and torture submit 250 pages of formal complaints* to the Department of Justice and Attorney General Loretta Lynch, with a demand to investigate and prosecute Chicago police officers for their violation of federal criminal statutes? LESS THAN NOTHING. Not just an implicit refusal by the DOJ to do their job but an insulting, unsigned generic letter from the 'Correspondence Management Staff' at the 'Office of Administration'. A copy of the letter is below with a written response from Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression here

As recently reported in the Guardian "the Justice Department rejects 96% of civil rights cases against policeas Dena Iverson, a Justice Department spokeswoman, states the agency takes "any allegation of law enforcement misconduct seriously and will review those allegations when they are brought to our attention". More games, more smoke and mirrors...

We demand immediate criminal investigations of police crimes here in Chicago
and an end to the racist farce of bureaucratic game playing--yet another facet of DOJ complicity with police crimes here and across the US.
