In a school as dynamic as GMS there are so many exciting events going on at the same time.  We hope this newsletter brings together the many parts of GMS allowing you to see the school as one whole community.  As we are steeped in the plethora of activities in the days and weeks ahead, we are also planning ahead for next school year.

Enrollment Agreements for 2014-15 are due by the March 10 due date and we are offering a $50 discount on the first tuition payment (June) for each returning student whose agreement and deposit is submitted by Monday, March 10

Families applying for financial aid who meet their March 10 and March 17 deadlines for Intent to Enroll forms and F.A.S.T. applications, will also be granted the $50 discount in their first tuition payment.

We recognize that Greensboro has a growing number of school options, and we are grateful for all of our GMS families.  Having your agreement returned by March 10 allows us to enroll new families who have already applied for 2014-15.  We experienced a robust admission season this past school year with over 70 new students enrolling, and we forecast that it will only get better.

The 2014-15 school year will be a time of excitement welcoming the new Head of School, Paul Raymond.   Each one of you has helped to make GMS the school which he is eager to join. He will be visiting our campus again April 22-25 and looks forward to meeting you.

Thank you for recommitting to GMS for the 2014-15 school year.

My family and I are looking forward to seeing you Saturday night for the big celebration!

Sincerely,

Frank Brainard, Head of School

    FUN FACTS & REMINDERS

Join The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) with Faucette Farms

Have you ever noticed a white delivery truck parked on the hill at GMS every Wednesday afternoon, and wondered what it was and why it was there?  The truck is from Faucette Farms, a local farm that delivers a generous bag or box of fresh, organic produce to GMS families that are members of the CSA program.  Faucette Farms has a large greenhouse and covered rows that allow them to offer members a wide variety of produce to choose from each week, all year round. They also offer dried beans, ham, farm fresh eggs, cheese, and local honey.

A regular-sized share (family of 4) is $18 per week ($216 for 12 weeks), large share is $23 per week ($276 for 12 weeks), and an extra-large share is $32 per week ($384 for 12 weeks).  Members sign up for a share in increments of 12 weeks.

Every Sunday or Monday, go online (www.myfreshproduce.com) and select the produce you would like for the Wednesday delivery date.  There are several pages of seasonal produce from which to choose.  Or, you also have the option of letting the farm choose for you by indicating you would like "Farm Choice" in the online additional information box.

If you are interested in joining, please contact Polly Evans at Faucette Farms as soon as possible at (336)669-5083, then mail her a check and completed application form to:  Polly Evans, Faucette Farms, 5112 Hwy 150 East, Brown Summit, NC  27214.  Applications may be picked up in the GMS office or filled out online at www.myfreshproduce.com under the CSA Sign-up Form tab.  After you sign up, then go online to www.myfreshproduce.com and place your first order.  Orders should be placed online by the Sunday or Monday before the drop-off on Wednesday.
