    GMS Highlights
    Student Highlight - Benjamin Kivett

Benjamin Kivett is 5 1/2 years old and is in Shelley and Stacy's classroom.  This is his third year at GMS. This fall he decided he would like to be in a play. So his mom took him to the audition for the Community Theatre of Greensboro production of The Wizard of Oz.  He was offered three parts! Benjamin is a monkey, a munchkin and also plays one of the lullaby munchkins, which is when he gets to sing, "We represent the lollipop guild."

Benjamin said, "There's lots of cool stuff" in the play, and "there's smoke when the witch comes in and out."  He said he would recommend it "because it is awesome!"  This is his first time in the play, but he said he would like to do it again. He also reported that, "at the end I get to bow and that's all."

For more information about the play check out theCommunity Theatre of Greensboro.

If you have a story about your student that you would like to submit for the weekly news, send it in to Andi Bogan.
