Team Updates:

Engaging Families- Butler County Early Care & Education Council

Finding families and getting them engaged can be a challenge. One OCDEL Family Engagement Pilot Partner has taken a creative--yet personal--approach.

The Butler County Early Care & Education Council reached out to seventeen community partners, such as YMCA, CCIS offices, United Way, early learning providers, family members and community organizations, and asked them to take a personal approach with recruiting family member's participation with the Pilot Project. To support their outreach, the Family Engagement Pilot Parent Flyer was created to help find additional families to attend their Pilot Project meeting on October 9. The flyer provides information that could then be used to reinforce the invitation, as well as used when an individual contact was not possible.

For more information about the Butler County Early Care & Education Council, please contact Julie Thumma at 724-283-2154 x 310 or [email protected].

All team self-assessments scheduled!

  • October 9 - Early Care and Education Council, Butler County
  • October 10 - PIC of Westmoreland/Fayette, Fayette County
  • October 15 - Elwyn, Chester SEEDS Preschool Early Intervention Program, Delaware County
  • November 7 - Upper Adams School District, Adams County
