It's time to prepare for Pennsylvania 's Promise for Children Month
Great new ways to celebrate!
Here's the deal: All children need quality early learning experiences to succeed in kindergarten and beyond, but not all children get it.
Pennsylvania's Promise for Children Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of quality early learning and
- Give families information they need to help their young children grow at home and to choose quality early learning programs and services that best meet their needs
- Convince school and community leaders and elected officials to make access to quality early learning opportunities a priority for Pennsylvania
There are dozens of ways that you can celebrate Pennsylvania's Promise for Children Month suggested in this toolkit. Even if you do ONE THING during PA's Promise Month, you make a difference. Because if every person did ONE THING, imagine what kind of an impact we could make together.
What's New?
There is so much information we can share about quality early learning and helping young children grow that we have developed four weekly themes to keep the fun going all month long! Each weekly theme provides key facts that are important to children's growth, with tips for families and communities to help young children reach their promise. They are based on the four sections of the Early Learning GPS (Guiding Parents Smoothly). We ask that you do not begin using these tools until October, so we can make a big splash!
