LWR Kits + Kids = Pie in the Face
Sunne Lutheran Church, rural Wilton, has always put together a lot of school kits for Lutheran World Relief, but this year we decided to try something different. Instead of asking people to donate the needed supplies, our Vacation Bible School decided to dedicate their offering to purchase supplies. A challenge was issued to raise $1200 so that we could complete 300 school kits. More

LYO Gathering Registration Opens
The 2014 LYO Gathering will be held October 16-18, 2014 at the Ramada Hotel, Bismarck. The featured guest will be AGAPE.

Clergy Spiritual Renewal Retreat
In the coming year, the retreat will be open to all clergy families across our synod. The event will take place at Metigoshe Ministries January 23-25 and is limited to 15 clergy and their families. The focus of the retreat is Spiritual Renewal; the time will be spent in rest, in group conversation with Tammy Devine a Diaconal Minister with Portico, family time, and worship. More

WND Women Attend Triennial
In late July, approximately 45 women from the Western North Dakota Synodical Women's Organization (Women of the ELCA) attended the Ninth Triennial Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Under the theme, "of many generations", the Triennial had five ladies of 90+ years young, and with ithe infants in attendance, six generations of women enjoyed the gathering. More |
