Team N-Jet: Flying Towards a Cure
N-Jet is the proud sponsor of Team N-Jet, a group of dedicated runners competing in the 2013 Chicago Half-Marathon on September 8th.
Team members include several N-Jet employees, future healthcare professionals and Cancer Treatment Centers of America stakeholders. Together, the team will raise funds to support cancer research at The Gateway for Cancer Research.
Funded by Cancer Treatment Centers of America, The Gateway for Cancer Research is a non-for-profit organization that funds phase I and phase II cancer clinical trials to find better treatments and cures for today's cancer patients. The organization is able to able to apply 99 cents of every dollar donated directly towards cancer research.
Team N-Jet has already reached its fundraising goal of $2,500, but with months to go before the big race, they'd like to double - or even triple - that number!

Our Fleet's New Home
Just as our staff has enjoyed new living quarters, so has our fleet! The new hangar space encompasses 28,800 square feet in two open bays, and can house all N-Jet aircraft under one roof.
Thanks to the hangar's energy-efficient bottom rolling doors, maintaining an ideal climate in such a large space hasn't become a burden. As this year's cold weather continues to drag on, there's been no struggle to keep the facility (and our maintenance staff and aircraft) warm and comfortable.

Per-Flight Air Traffic Control User Charge?
House lawmakers are building opposition to a possible proposal to impose a $100-per-flight air traffic control user charge. The White House last year offered the proposal in its fiscal 2013 budget request, and is expected to resurrect the proposal for its fiscal 2014 budget request.
General Aviation Caucus members have drafted a letter in the House once again expressing opposition to user fees. The letter calls the fees the "wrong approach" and asks President Obama to abandon the idea. It is currently being circulated for signatures, and is similar to a letter caucus members sent to the President last year that included 195 signatures.
The number of signatures collected this year is believed to have already surpassed last year's tally. The Obama Administration is expected to unveil its budget next week. (source: Aviation Week)
